Question of the Week: How do you get ready for Back to School?

Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. ~John Dewey

  1. I start back to school shopping in July (I hate leaving things for the last minute). To keep costs down, I look through the flyers for good sales. A few weeks ago, the Walgreen's in our area had packs of lead & mechanical pencils, & pens for only 19 cents but there was a limit of 3 so I went to a few Walgreens & stocked up. I read books about school to Evan & tell him how much fun he will be having at school & he's soooo excited to go back. The best tip I can think of is to attend an open house (they offer it before school starts down here so the kids can meet their teachers & classmates) that way it'll be an easier transition for your little one. Good luck =)
