Multiples and More Holiday Gift Guide!

Since today is the official kick-off for holiday shopping, I thought it would be fun to feature some products that I think would make great presents this year! Hopefully this will give you some ideas, unless you’re like me and have been done with your shopping for over month. Plus, to keep in the giving spirit, there are a few opportunities to win some of the items on this list!
First up is Disney’s The Search for Santa Paws:

This movie just came out on Tuesday and is sure to be a holiday classic! The film follows in the tradition of Disney’s classic holiday tales with a heartwarming story about the power of giving and the true meaning of Christmas. An exciting prequel, the movie allows kids of all ages to discover how the legendary friendship of Santa Claus and Santa Paws began – as it is the inspiring original film (in a timeline it precedes 2009’s Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws). In the movie, when Santa and his new best friend, Paws, discover that the boys and girls of the world have lost the spirit of the season, they take a trip to New York City. But after Santa loses his memory, it’s up to Paws, a faithful orphan named Quinn (America’s Got Talent’s Kaitlyn Maher), her new friend Will (The Game Plan’s Madison Pettis) and a wonderful group of magical talking dogs to save St. Nick and show the world what Christmas is really all about. Do you believe in Santa Paws? Experiencing this sure‐to‐be holiday classic, full of fun, adventure and a carrying the timeless messages of the holidays, with surely delight the entire family!

Also new from Disney this holiday season is Disney’s A Christmas Carol featuring the incredibly talented Jim Carrey.

The magical retelling of Charles Dickens’ beloved tale – Disney’s A Christmas Carol, the high-flying, heartwarming adventure for the whole family. When three ghosts take penny-pinching Scrooge on an eye-opening journey, he discovers the true meaning of Christmas– but he must act on it before it’s too late. Complete with spirited bonus features, this exhilarating and touching Disney classic is destined to be part of a family holiday tradition, adding sparkle and heart to all Christmases yet to come.

Our very own Missy of Two Little Monkeys designs this fantastic jewelry:

Isn’t it great?! Check out Missy’s Etsy shop to see everything she has to offer!

One of my favorites on this list is the Baggu Bag:

The Baggu Bag is perfect for not just the grocery store, but for anything really. Use it for overnights, beach trips, playdates, you name it. Each bag holds what you can fit inside 2-3 plastic bags. Plus, they’re fashionable! There are 13 different styles of bags to chose from, all reasonably priced, and in a variety of colors.

Another favorite of mine is Spa de Soleil’s Organic Olive Essence Body Butter:

This stuff is what dreams are made of, I kid you not. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’m hooked. I will never use another lotion, ever. Spa de Soleil has several different products to choose from in the Organic Olive Essence line including eye serum, body scrubs, cleansers, hand creams and foot nutrient cream. Any of these would make great presents for wives, girlfriends, moms, aunts or sisters.

A great stocking stuffer for your country music fan would have to be Jason Aldean’s new album My Kind of Party

This is Jason’s 4th studio album and is amazing! This really is the ultimate stocking stuffer in my opinion, every single song is great, check out my review if you want more info!

Another great stocking stuffer is Magical Multiple Moments by Julie Reynolds-Gillespie:

ABOUT THIS BOOK
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have triplets? Do you wonder how parents of multiple manage their lives? Magical Multiple Moments will answer specific questions such as, “How big should I expect a belly for three to get?” or “How much help will I need to keep everything together?” Julie Gillespie shares stories and bits of advice she collected on her website Triplettales.net from 250 moms and dads she either interviewed or surveyed. Over a five-year period she posted blogs and received feedback from other parents creating a well-rounded, candid picture of life with three or more kids at a time.

Interwoven in the chapters are interviews from experts in such fields as sleep training, psychiatry, and exercise. Statistics created from the surveys answer questions Julie couldn’t find in any of the literature on multiples such as “Is it common to separate children in school or keep them together?” As her children grew she chronicled each developmental phase. This book reflects her thoughts as well as those of the many other parents she interviewed.

For your kiddos the book My Twin Brother by Deanna Kleiman is perfect!

My Twin Brother is a children’s book featuring 5 year old fraternal twin brothers, Jacob and David. Told by Jacob, the story provides a realistic look from a child’s perspective of what being a twin is all about. There are plenty of good things about being a twin, but there are also a few not so fun things about being a twin too. This easy to read book, with colorful artist rendered illustrations will be enjoyed by twins and their parents alike!

Another great book is Elizabeth Lyons You Cannot Be Serious:

ABOUT THIS BOOK
For years, author Elizabeth Lyons has been asked how she does it all. Whether she’s negotiating a truce between her 10- and 5-year-old while eulogizing goldfish, swinging a sledgehammer in her garage-to-be-nursery, bribing her twins to keep their pants on in the grocery store, planning her product line, strategically placing carrot seeds in her garden, receiving life lessons from her oldest daughter, or explaining to her kids why a fellow post office patron has pierced nipples, Elizabeth Lyons has discovered that the secret to navigating through the land of euphoria and hysteria is a carefully crafted set of rules–for herself!

You Cannot Be Serious is a contemporary and humorous roadmap for “doing it all” that any woman can relate to for untying her own “nots.” And for moms who lie awake at night wondering if their sanity will remain intact until the kids move out, Lyons provides a girlfriend-to-girlfriend guide, not just for getting through each day, but for being able to say with conviction, “I love my life!”

I’m a big fan of music and I love being able to share it with my kids, these next ideas are perfect for the whole family!

Who’s Ready to Party? With Fred:

This is the second album from Lucas Cruikshank (aka Fred Figglehorn). Songs on the CD include “I Wanna Be a Celebrity”, “Don’t Forget to Brush” and “Big Bad Bullies”. This CD is perfect for your tweens!

Another great CD for the kids is Children’s Classics Americana Series.

This CD has all the classics on it, hence the title. It’s the perfect CD to have on when your kids are playing, or even in the car (Check out my review for more info!)

Dance Mix USA

This CD is a 2-disc compilation mixed by world-renowned DJ Louie DeVito with 30 dance remixes featuring Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, The Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez, Kelly Rowland, Train, Kelis and more. When you purchase the CD, receive a free 1 month subscription with Sirius XM Satellite Radio. It’s perfect for your New Years Eve party!

If someone you know is having a baby, a perfect gift for them would be a Born Free Gift Set:

The BornFree Gift Set includes: three 5 oz bottles with extra level 1 nipples, one 9oz bottle, one Trainer cup and a package of level 2 nipples for future use.

If you know MoM is breastfeeding, you can still get her a Born Free Natural Mother Kit:

Ideal starter kit for breastfeeding mothers – includes a Breast Pump Adapter suited to all BornFree bottles, plus two 5oz Bottles with Sealing Disks for frozen storage. Also contains two stage one (newborn-6 months) Day and Night Pacifiers.

Another great DVD for the whole family is Opposite Day:

If you thought Friday was freaky, get ready for…Opposite Day! Opposite Day is a brand-new feature-length film in which KIDS RULE! Starring Pauly Shore along with Ariel Winter from “Modern Family”, the DVD is filled with zany adventures and is perfect film for the whole family! Opposite Day, from Anchor Bay Entertainment, will be available on DVD beginning November 16, 2010.

In the side-splitting new comedy, 9-year-old Sammy (Billy Unger) and his 8-year-old sister Carla (Ariel Winter) go on vacation with their grandparents when their overworked parents are unable to take them. Feeling bitter about his mom and dad (Colleen Crabtree and Pauly Shore ) not being around, Sammy wishes kids ruled the world – but he soon learns to be careful what you wish for…! When a kooky experiment goes wildly wrong, making Sammy’s dream a reality, the kids quickly learn that being in charge is not all child’s play!

For your video game lover, check out Lego Universe!

We got this game a while ago and my husband loves it! The game is for multi-players online and is rated E10+. Check out the review Scott wrote for more information.

For your toddlers, I think the perfect gift is the Baby GoGo Doll:

Baby GoGo is not only gender neutral but is also ethnically neutral. The baby has a medium skin tone and is dressed in neutral, contemporary clothing. I could not have been more pleased with this doll! Not only is the Baby GoGo adorable and fun for the kids to play with, but for parents that are thinking of expanding their families, this is a great way to introduce a new baby to your kids. When I did my review, I also received the accessory pack with the doll. This includes a diaper bag and diaper. Both of my kids walk around with the bag and say “time to go!” and then get in their cozy coupes just like when we go somewhere.

A great holiday CD for everyone in the family is The O’Neill Brothers Christmas Lullabies:

These magical piano melodies blend favorite songs of the season with classic nursery rhymes. Perfect for naptime or the end of a long day of baking, shopping or celebrating, these soothing songs on piano and violin will have everyone in your house dreaming of softly falling snow and the peace and wonder of the Holiday Season.
