Featured Blogger: Trisha of 3 Four and Under

This weeks featured blogger is Trisha of 3 Four and Under! Trisha is the proud MoM of 4 1/2 year old Big Sister, and 18 month old twins, Little S and Little Z. Trisha was also one of our sponsors during the End of Summer Blog Party. Her Etsy shop is Trisha B Designs and is full of adorable items!

Were you shocked to find out you were pregnant with identical twin boys?

We went into the doctor’s office pretty early in the pregnancy to find out how far along I was. The ultrasound tech was being extremely quiet, and then said, um I see two heartbeats. My husband and I both looked at each other and our jaws dropped! During the pregnancy, we were told that they were fraternal twins because they were in two separate sacs and had two separated placentas. When the boys were born, they looked so much alike we decided to do a DNA test and found out that they are actually identical!

How did your daughter react to finding out she would have two little brothers?

She was very excited. When they were born, she would tell us. No mom they’re not your babies, they’re MY babies!

You also run an Etsy shop, how do you juggle being a SAHM and a business owner?

I work on my Etsy shop during naptime and at night when everyone is sleeping.

Do your children like to do crafts with you?

My daughter loves to do crafts with me. The twins are a little young yet, but they love to color and I’m sure they will join in on the crafts soon.

What tips do you have for a new MoM of twins?

Do what works for you. I made a schedule that works for me. And try not to stress about things too much.

What question(s) do you have for our readers?

My boys are at a stage where they fight more than they play with each other. How do I get them to stop fighting?

Be sure to leave the answer to Trisha’s question and then head over to 3 Four and Under to leave some bloggy love!

Our fraternal girl twins are 21 months old. I don't know if there's a gender component to consider, but they've started playing together much better over the past two or three months. They still fuss over toys, and spend a good bit of time playing on their own, but their play patterns are definitely evolving.

They will sometimes sit and look at books together – or even the same book occasionally (which is so cute!) – or play with the same set of blocks, or the shape sorter. It only takes an instant for a peaceful scene to erupt into two cries (the blue circle shape is awful desireable, ya know?), but I like ot think we're moving in the right direction.
