Crafting with Kids: 2013 Headband

Can you believe that holiday celebrations are almost over.  They seemed to just fly by.  Now we gear up to welcome in the new year.

Here’s a fun craft project you can make with the kids to ring in the new year.

What you need:

  • Plain headband
  • Chipboard or wood numbers (any size will do)
  • White glue (that dries clear)
  • Paint brush
  • Glitter (and a paper plate or bowl)
  • Hot glue

How to make:

Step 1: Cover the numbers with white glue using a paint brush.

Step 2: Place the glue covered numbers onto the glitter to coat.

Step 3: Set aside to dry.  Repeat on the reverse side if you like.

Step 4: (Adults will need to complete this step).  Using hot glue attach each of the numbers to the headband.
